OVERVIEW

Funded by Health Education England and managed by THET, the GPBHP will see up to 18 Health Partnerships receive funding to enable England’s NHS workforce to engage in global health by supporting partners in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

The application window is now closed and THET will not be accepting any more proposals.

Key information

  • Bursaries are available for partnerships between the UK any low or middle-income country.
  • At least one member of the NHS workforce in England must be involved in the project.
  • Projects can run from between September 2022 to February 2023

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to health systems strengthening across the world during an unprecedented time. COVID-19 has thrown a spotlight on inequalities in access to healthcare and health outcomes. Global Placement Bursaries enable you to address locally identified needs and provide support where it is needed most.
