After you have taken care of your loved ones, leaving a gift in your will to THET will make a lasting difference to future generations of health workers.
By remembering THET through a gift in your will, you will help to realise our vision of a world where everyone has access to quality healthcare and provide support to health workers for many years to come.
How to leave a gift to THET in your will
Some people leave a specific amount or item, but many people choose a share of their estate, as this type of gift won’t lose its value over time.
If you already have a will and would like to leave a gift in your will to THET, we recommend that you contact your solicitor.
If you haven’t written a will yet or if you don’t have a solicitor, we recommend that you visit the Law Society website, for names and contact details of practises local to you. You may prefer to choose one through the personal recommendation of friends or family.
Using a qualified solicitor makes leaving a gift to THET in your will very straight forward and is relatively inexpensive. Costs can vary though, so it may be worth asking two or three firms for a quotation.
Use can read our legacy story, from the family of Dr. Sylvia Watkins, a life-long supporter of health worker training and dear friend to THET.
THET’s Legacy Promise
We will respect your privacy. You don’t have to tell us if you have remembered THET in your will, although we would welcome the opportunity to thank you and tell you about the impact your gift could make.
Family comes first. We understand how important it is that your family and friends are looked after first – but even a small percentage of what’s left over could make a huge difference to the health workers we support.
You can change your mind at any time. This is your decision, and we will always respect your right to change your mind at any time about leaving us a gift. There is no obligation for you to keep us informed of any changes you make to your will.
We won’t pressure you into making a decision. We’re here to answer any questions you may have, but will never try to pressure you into making a decision.
We will be open and honest with you at all times. We will answer all your questions fully, openly and honestly. If you wish, we can arrange for you to visit our UK office or even one of our projects overseas, so that you can see at first-hand what a difference your gift could make.
We will treat any gift you leave to THET with care, sensitivity and respect.
