Health Links Conference 2011
This year’s annual Health Links Conference will explore whether Links are reaching the poorest. There will be the opportunity to gather the experiences of Link partners and view Links’ journeys through THET’s first Link poster competition, prizes for which will be awarded by Jan Sobieraj, Director General of NHS Workforce.
Our keynote speaker, Dr Richard Horton, Editor-in-Chief of The Lancet, has been notable in his commitment to covering global health issues. He will bring a unique perspective to the question of how best to harness the skills and experiences of UK health professionals to contribute in countries who continue to face a critical shortage of health care workers. The conference will involve a combination of plenary discussions and practical break-out sessions for health links practitioners. There will be plenty of opportunity to network with others engaged in international health links. A more detailed agenda will be available soon.
Please note:Unfortunately, THET is not able to offer funding to colleagues who want to attend the conference at this point in time. We suggest though, that, if you are a Health Link member, to get in touch with your Link partner and see if they have any funding opportunities available for you.
