International Health Links Funding Scheme (IHLFS)

About
The IHLFS is a 3 year scheme that makes £2.5million available to UK Health Links to carry out health worker capacity building projects in Africa and Asia.

The scheme is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the Department of Health (DH). It is jointly managed by THET and the British Council.

A number of IHLFS grants have already been awarded. For more details on these successful applicants, please see the list of IHLFS Funded Health Links.

Who can apply?
Funding is available to Health Links where the partners are based in the UK and any of the funding scheme target countries.

We are not currently accepting any applications for this scheme.

Applications are assessed by an independent selection panel.

Looking for a Link partner?
If you are interested in forming a Health Link but do not have a partner, we recommend you register with the International Health Links Centre who have a database of institutions in the UK and abroad who are interested in forming Health Links.

The aim of the scheme is to provide Health Links with resources which enable them to increase the scope and scale of their work. This is in the form of both funding and advice and guidance in the following areas:
