THET's response to an article published in Tropical Doctor in October of 2012 focusing on Health Partnerships and evidence gathering.


The inherent complexity of health systems and the consequent challenges for robust measurement make it difficult to collect strong evidence of the effectiveness and impact of health partnerships on the processes and particularly the outcomes of health care. However, health partnerships use a range of evaluation methods that provide valuable, qualitative and descriptive information about change and performance management, which can help demonstrate their effectiveness.
