Useful publication from the GMC on the re-validation of doctors.

Ready For Revalidation

Frequently asked questions for overseas regulators and overseas organisations on the re-validation of doctors published by the General Medical Council, 2012.

All doctors holding registration with a licence to practice with the GMC are now required to demonstrate, usually every 5 years, that they are up to date and fit to practice.
These frequently asked questions provide further information for doctors who work wholly outside the UK.
THET is working with the GMC on guidance for UK health professionals who volunteer for short and longer periods in developing countries.
