Looking for Funders?

The websites listed below provides an invaluable source of statistical and financial information for grant makers and seekers.

Charity Commission
If looking cold for trust funding in the UK, most Fundraisers start with the Charity Commissioners website, and search by country and theme for trusts willing to fund projects in health in their area.

Use the Search for a Charity tab. If you have a name or charity registration for a funder, you can carry out a search and have a look at the funder’s accounts. I find looking at funders accounts useful as it gives me an idea of how much and which charities they are funding. In addition, you often find out the funders future plans for support.

Guidestar UK
Guidestar UK is a free public website providing a source of high quality information on more than 167000 UKregistered charities. The search tool is similar to the Charity Commission and is another good starting point.
