About the Link
Formal Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Leeds in May 2008 when our Malagasy colleagues visited Leeds. The link is between the Ministry of Health in Madagascar; HJRA the largest teaching hospital in Antanarivo and SALFA Health Systems at Andronomadio Hospital in Antsirabe SALFA. The first scoping visit was undertaken in November 2007. This builds on the longstanding Ophthalmic links via MOSS www.mossuk.net and has been facilitated and supported by Vision 2020 with support and guidance from Marcia Zondervan. There are four arms to the project based on identified needs and these are: 1. Opthalomolgy 2.Rehabilitation 3.General Nursing 4.Medical Physics. The provisonal programme has been devised for 3 years. For updates on progress please see the attached documents.
