  • Somalia/Somaliland

This round adds to the Wave 1 call for applications from partnerships working in Myanmar, Nepal, Uganda and Zambia.

Funding Available and Application Details

Grants of up to £350,000 are available. All funded projects are expected to last between 24 and 30 months. Project activities will be implemented from June 2021 until November 2023.

Core Eligibility

All those considering applying should carefully read the eligibility and funding criteria contained in the Call for Applications and Q&A document as these may differ from previous THET grant streams.

This grants round will accept applications from both new and established partnerships but applicants should read carefully the guidelines around the differences in application process for the different partnership models.

All projects under this programme should respond to the health priorities identified in the Country Health Systems Priorities Documents. Projects with remits outside of these health priorities will not be considered.

For further information on how to set up a Health Partnership or formalise an existing relationship, please refer to THET’s Support for Health Partnerships page.

If you are interested in applying for this programme but are not part of a Health Partnership, you may be able to find a partner through engaging with the Health Partnership Community LinkedIn page.

This page also provides details of organisations with additional areas of expertise that applicants might like to consider incorporating into their partnership, in areas such as blended learning, GESI and behaviour change.

THET held a webinar to run through the application process and project planning which provided clarity on the application form and budget template. You can catch up on the recording here.

All applicants are advised to listen to this webinar prior to completing an application. The webinar will be available on THET’s website throughout the Call application window.

The Grant Application Form and Budget Template should be completed and submitted, along with letters of support from each of the lead partner institutions, any managing partners and a relevant representative from the implementing country Ministry of Health, in one email to grants@thet.org.

Established partnerships should fill out the established partnership application form and submit this by 18:00 GMT on 1st February 2021.

New partnerships should fill out the new partnership application and submit this by 18:00 GMT on 11th February 2021.
