The TALENT Groups project aims to build the leadership of early-career nurses and midwives.
THET is working with Health Education England (HEE) and the University of Salford (UoS) on a two-year project which aims to strengthen nurse leadership through the creation of virtual communities within Ethiopia, the UK, Nepal, Somaliland, Zambia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Tanzania.
THE PROJECT
TALENT Groups bring together nurses who have an interest in leadership development in virtual communities which are moderated by senior nurse leaders. Each group consists of 20 early career nurses or midwives and 3 senior nurse or midwife coordinators who are from the same country. The groups are hosted on THET’s Pulse platform.
Through online discussions, members share ideas and knowledge while raising each other up and helping one another to solve problems together. In turn, early career nurses are building and developing their leadership skills.
