‘We are proud to be able to contribute to THET’s Health Worker Action Fund at this critical time. Its ambition to provide immediate support to health workers on the frontline, its global focus, and emphasis on sustainable change, resonate with Impax’s own values and mission to contribute to the development of a sustainable society.
The interconnection between health and climate change – an area which Impax supports through its partnership with other charities, is undeniable, and will be felt more than ever in the aftermath of the pandemic. By supporting the Health Worker Action Fund, I am confident that we are enabling health workers to continue maintaining links and learning from each other so that their efforts can be strengthened in the post- COVID-19 era.
Members of the Impax team are already regular supporters of THET and we have known the charity for many years, so it is fantastic to be able to support their work at this critical time. I hope Impax’s support will make a meaningful contribution to the efforts of frontline health workers across Africa and Asia.’
Ben Simms, CEO commented:
“Health workers are under immense pressure in all countries. In parts of Africa and Asia where they are fewer in number and working in health services that are already extremely fragile, the situation is even more critical. The support from Impax is vital because it enables us to move at speed to support such health workers, with minimum bureaucracy and maximum impact, allowing staff to make a vital contribution in combating Covid-19. Thank you.”
