Professor Judith Ellis
Role Chair of Trustees

Judith is the Chief Executive of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She is a registered adult and children’s nurse, with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a PhD, which was focused on evaluating the effectiveness of clinical practice bench marking.

Judith has worked at the Department of Health, England, providing a nursing focus for Policy work on Quality and Patient Participation and Public Involvement. Before joining the RCPCH, Judith was Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Social Care at London South Bank University and prior to that held the post of Director of Nursing and Education at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, London.

She was for 5 years a Registrant member of the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council and was Interim Chair for 6 months in 2012.  She also chairs a charity training children's nurses and doctors in Uganda and lectures extensively around the world. 

She has been appointed as Chair of Trustees of THET in June 2016.
