Nura joined THET in 2014 as their Country Director in Somalia and Somaliland. Nura has training and experience in the fields of education and health and has extensive experience leading health system strengthening programmes in Somaliland with Health and Education background.
Nura has nine years experience working for health and education projects, including networking and collaboration with the health and education programme partners in Somaliland from national level to village levels, including national and local government, teachers, head teachers, health training institutions, Hospitals, MCHs and health posts.
Her previous NGO experience includes time with COOPI, NRC, STIPA and Save the Children International. She has also been involved in designing, planning, implementing and monitoring for projects funded by DFID, EC, ECHO and UNHCR amoungst others.
After graduation, Samatar spent a year working as a volunteer in one of Hargeisa youth umbrellas: Somaliland National Youth Organization (SONYO). He later moved to the commercial sector where he worked for one year as an accountant/Office Administrator.
Samatar has a BBA in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from the University of Hargeisa. He joined THET in 2010.
Khadar is a Finance and Administration management expert with 10 years of working experience in finance and operations, including; Country Programme finance, Administration and operations and accounting and public financial management specialist. Khadar joined THET in April 2011 he has a proven record of accomplishments in financial management including; internal auditing, budgets management, financial reporting and financial control.
Khadar studied his Masters in 2015-2016 in the UK and returned to THET in October 2017 as a part-time staff member. He started his new position as Operations Manager in August 2019.
