Zoe Raw

Research, Evidence and Learning Manager

Biography

Zoe is an experienced research scientist with expertise in using empirical evidence to support and develop programme designs and interventions for international development. Prior to joining THET, Zoe was Head of Global Research at The Donkey Sanctuary, where she led a team delivering research to demonstrate that healthier working animals are better able to support human health, livelihoods, and rural economies in marginalised communities in LMICs.

Born and raised in the Middle East, Zoe spent ten years living and working in Africa and is passionate about a One Health approach to global public health. She has a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol and is a strong advocate for the use of data to understand development outcomes and drive future change.

Justine Nola

Justine Nola

HR and Operations Manager

Biography

As a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD- Level 7) and holding a master’s degree in human resource management, Justine has spent most of her career working within the non-profit and INGO sector.

 

 

Justine has over a decade of Generalist HR (management) experience both in a UK and international development context, with a number of senior roles within the non-profit and INGO sector, both within the UK and international settings (including Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan).

Jonathon Foster

Communications Manager

Biography

Jonathon is an experienced communications professional with over three years’ service working at the House of Commons for two MPs, both of which were strong advocates for global health initiatives and supporting international development. During this time, as part of his roles in Dr Dan Poulter MP’s office, Jonathon was introduced to the valuable and important work of THET through APPG Global Health.

Before joining THET, Jonathon refined his public relations and corporate communications skills as part of the account management team at a sustainability-focused PR agency based at MediaCity in Manchester.

Jonathon has a BA (Hons) degree in Business Management with Law from the University of Liverpool and a MSc in Global Governance and Ethics from University College London (UCL).

Megan Cox

Convening and Communications Coordinator

Biography

Megan joined THET as the Convening and Communications Coordinator in October 2023. Prior to THET, Megan worked in fundraising and communications roles in international development NGOs Amref Health Africa and Book Aid International, gaining experience in digital marketing, external communications, and fundraising/event coordination.

With a background in international development and global health, Megan has a passion for using advocacy and storytelling to advance equity in global health outcomes and international development initiatives.

 

Megan graduated from King’s College London in 2021 with a degree in History and International Relations. During University, she worked as the Africa Regional Editor for the KCL International Relations Magazine Dialogue and is passionate about communications as a vehicle for creating change.

Beatrice Waddingham

Beatrice Waddingham

Biography

Beatrice joined THET in February 2018. She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2014 with a Master’s degree in International Development, before spending time working for the NHS and as a teacher in Central Kalimantan, Borneo.

Prior to joining THET, Bea worked for international development charities working on monitoring and evaluation, and innovation.

Fundraising Coordinator

Biography

Julia joined THET in August 2023 as a Fundraising Coordinator. Prior to THET, she spent over seven years working in various programmatic and fundraising roles with the Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction (UK), International Institute for Environment and Development (UK), and International Centre for Climate Change and Development (Bangladesh). Julia has a master’s in international development from the University of Manchester and extensive knowledge and experience in locally-led initiatives that meet the needs of communities across the world.

 

Learning from the COVID-19 pandemic and seeing how it has set back progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals, Julia has developed a passion for ensuring that the world’s most vulnerable and isolated (both socially and geographically) groups have access to quality healthcare that is needed to reduce the risk of chronic illness and unnecessary death. She has particular interests in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and antimicrobial resistance.

Biography

Ciaran joined THET in October, 2020 as Digital Engagement Officer.

Ciaran graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a Bachelor’s degree in History. Before joining THET, he worked for various organisations in the tech sector in the UK and abroad.

Ciaran has a keen interest in social enterprise and the role technology can play in creating positive social change.

Biography

Iain graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Mathematics in 2012. Upon graduating from university, he started working for an audit firm in East London, where he gained his ACA qualification.

After working in audit for over seven years and looking for a new challenge, Iain joined THET in October 2020.

Jack Lenox

Biography

Jack joined THET in October 2023. He graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a Master’s degree in Global Health Policy in 2022. His research centred around health systems strengthening and the role of gender in healthcare quality and deliverance. Prior to joining THET, Jack had been involved with a number of organisations and charitable start-ups. He has worked for the United Nations Association — UK and helped build a humanitarian crisis response mobile app.

In 2020, Jack successfully campaigned for equitable and accessible COVID-19 vaccine clinics in marginalized communities in the eastern United States. With a particular interest in equitable access to healthcare and the social construction of disease, Jack is passionate about building stronger and more inclusive health systems.

Biography

Before joining THET, Alex coordinated multi-year projects for children and young people with disabilities across four countries in sub-Saharan Africa. In a prior role, she led the UK arm of an international menstrual health charity as the UK Country Coordinator. She was a trustee for two years at an infrastructural organisation which supports, represents and connects over 2,000 members of staff working at small international development charities.

She has a Masters degree in International Development from the University of Birmingham, as part of which she researched inclusive education after emergencies in Nepal. She has valuable experience from living and working in India, Bangladesh and Uganda and is particularly passionate about local capacity building and promoting locally-led development.

Biography

Domagoj joined THET in July 2022 as Digital Marketing Officer. Prior to THET, Domagoj worked as a freelancer, developing engaging and powerful content for different organisations.

Over the years, Domagoj accrued a wide range of experience across social media management, video production and brand awareness. Through these experiences and skills, he has developed a unique sense of design and a belief that the best solutions are those that are both simple and powerful.

Domagoj obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the Faculty of Business and Economics in Zagreb and a bachelor’s degree in Public Law from the University of Law in Zagreb, Croatia.

Sawdah joined THET in October 2022. She holds a joint honours degree in History, Politics, and International Relations from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Prior to joining THET, Sawdah worked on various diversity and inclusion initiatives, both at policy level and within the educational context.
Sawdah’s passion lies in advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through informed policymaking, with a keen interest in leveraging research and data-driven strategies to foster meaningful organisational change.
